Podar Pearl School, Qatar, proudly participated in Oxford Global MUN 2026, hosted by MU20 School of Opportunities in partnership with Oxford Global. The event took place in collaboration with the MU20 Knowledge Festival at FLAME University, Pune. It brought together more than 1,500 delegates from leading schools across India and around the world.

With seven committees and more than 100 representatives in each committee, Oxford Global MUN 2026 created an exciting platform for students to engage in high-level debates, explore global issues and experience the world of international diplomacy. Our delegation included 34 student delegates and two MUN Directors, who represented Podar Pearl School with dedication, confidence and enthusiasm.

The event began with an inspiring Opening Ceremony led by the OMUN Executive Team. Soon after, delegates moved into their respective committees, where they actively discussed international issues and presented their perspectives. Podar Pearl School students participated in the WHO, UNGADISEC, UNEP, UNESCO, UNHRC, UNODC and UNCSW committees.

Throughout the conference, our students demonstrated strong research, diplomacy, negotiation and public speaking skills. They took part in moderated and unmoderated causes, shared well-researched viewpoints and collaborated with students from diverse backgrounds. Moreover, the Innovation Challenge encouraged delegates to think creatively and approach global challenges from new perspectives.

The conference also provided opportunities beyond formal committee sessions. The Masquerade Eve and Global Village Gala celebrated culture, creativity and friendship, while the Insight Sessions and Power Talks encouraged students and teachers to explore new ideas and challenge their perspectives. As a result, the experience extended beyond traditional MUN debates and created meaningful opportunities for learning, collaboration and personal growth.

Our students also achieved notable recognition in the WHO Committee. Nashwa Ibrahim, representing Ukraine, received an Honourable Mention. Ayush Prabhu, representing Iceland, and Daksh Jauhari, representing Turkey, also received Honourable Mentions. Furthermore, Sai Rishi Badrinath, representing Myanmar, was recognised as a Promising Delegate.

These achievements reflect the students’ commitment, preparation and ability to engage confidently with complex global issues. In addition, all 34 delegates received certificates of appreciation for their commendable participation and performance across the committees. A plaque was also presented to Podar Pearl School in recognition of its contribution to the success of the event.

The Closing Ceremony brought the memorable conference to a fitting conclusion. It celebrated the achievements of delegates while highlighting the friendships, experiences and lessons gained throughout Oxford Global MUN 2026.

For the students of Podar Pearl School, the conference was more than a Model United Nations event. It was an opportunity to understand global affairs, exchange ideas with students from around the world and develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Through research, collaboration and diplomacy, our young delegates strengthened their confidence and broadened their global perspectives.
