Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala is celebrated in the first malayalam month Chingam, which falls between August and September of every year. It is the festival of happiness, peace, prosperity and flowers. It lasts for ten days and reflects Kerala’s rich heritage and unity.

The students and teachers of Pearl School,Al Dafna Campus celebrated Onam with great zeal, gaiety and warmth on Tuesday, 29th August 2023. The celebration commenced with the narration of the fascinating and mesmerizing story in connection with the Onam festival. This was followed by the graceful, traditional dance form ‘Thiruvathirakali’ by our teachers wearing the Kerala traditional attire. Moreover, an intricate and colourful arrangement of flowers on the floor known as Pookalam or Flower Carpet, with lighted lamps around added colour and beauty to the day. The popular malayalam songs being played in the background created a festive ambience.

The spectacular celebration embraced the vibrant spirit of Onam, and it marked an unforgettable experience for both students and teachers alike.
