Pearl School, Al Dafna, arranged a field trip for the students of class II on February 15th 2023 (Wednesday). 86 students were taken to Baladna Park. The students boarded the bus at 7:20 a.m. and reached their destination by 8:30 a.m. All the students were excited to explore the park. They were awestruck by the different types of trees and mesmerized by the beautiful flowers. Along the entrance of the park, we found three cow statues displayed where kids can enter to “milk the cows.” This activity provides a fun experience.

As we walked into the park, one of the first things that we noticed was the two big kids’ play areas by the entrance of the park. These two areas are designated specifically for children to enjoy. With multiple see-saws, swings, slides and more, this play area inside the park kept the children entertained by jumping on the bungee trampoline. Next, we stepped into the process of milk production and saw the cows being milked in the facility’s cutting-edge rotary milking parlour. One of the interesting activities was the mining experience and the Green House Zone. The mining experience let the children dig up fossils, gems or even shells as it passed through flowing water. They not only got to have an amazing sensory experience, but they also got to keep the treasure they found. The Green House Zone is a magnificent indoor glass facility designated to teach children the proper way to grow and water different kinds of seeds. Children also enjoyed bumper boats, speed boats and even ducks in the water. In the Animal Zone Area, students enjoyed feeding a bag of vegetables to animals such as zebras, horses, rabbits, emus and loved the reptile cave. We ended our day in the best way possible with our complimentary meal of pizza and juice. While returning, we boarded the bus at 12:15 p.m. and arrived at school at 1:20 p.m.

This trip gave them the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and helped them understand the facts in more practical and realistic ways.
