Grade 1&2: Spell Bee Competition(Meshaf Campus 2023-24)

SPELL BEE COMPETITION

Spelling, the art of correctly assembling letters to form meaningful words, is one of the essential components of successful writing. Being confident at spelling leads to confidence in all aspects of literacy. Keeping the same in mind, an     inter-class Spell Bee activity was organized for the students of classes I and II at Podar Pearl School.

It aimed at giving students a platform to learn different spellings with their pronunciations and consequently, enrich their vocabulary. To conduct this activity, a word bank was created. Students were asked to learn the words from the given word bank for the first round. The students who spelled the words correctly in the first round were qualified for the next round where each student was asked to spell words from the given new set of words.

 The objective of the competition was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children by encouraging them to explore the nuances of English language, expand their vocabulary and improve their communication and comprehension skills. Students participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative were appreciated by one and all.
