In celebration of World Environment Day, Pearl School Al Thumama Campus organised a wide range of activities and competitions for raising awareness of environmental concerns and stimulating actions towards the preservation of nature, focusing on reducing, reusing, and recycling concept.

World Environment Day is a global observance, celebrated annually on June 5th, encouraged worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. It is the Principal vehicle of the United Nations for promoting worldwide awareness and action for the environment.

Our students have engaged in a range of activities like creating best out of waste crafts items, environment related drawings, poster making, and bottle art by reusing plastic bottles. A fancy dress competition was organised based on the theme best out of waste materials by raising awareness regarding minimizing waste materials by imbibing recycling concept in students.

The teachers explained about the importance of taking measures to protect the environment on a daily basis through a presentation. It aimed at creating awareness among students about the harm that plastic usage creates in the environment, its impact on the future generations and the measures to reduce plastic usage.

Students of grade 1, 2 and 3 enjoyed each of these activities and developed a sense of aesthetics for protecting our environment.
