Pearl School, Al Dafna, Qatar, conducted an engaging and insightful Career Guidance Session on February 18, 2025, for students of Grades 7 and 8 as part of its School Development Program (SDP). The session aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed career decisions.

The session was led by Ms. Sahar Abdul Gafoor, the school counselor from Pearl School, Al Thumama. It began by distinguishing between a job and a career, emphasizing long-term professional growth. Students explored various career pathways, including STEM, Business & Commerce, Arts & Social Sciences, and Sports & Creative Industries. Additionally, emerging fields such as AI, Biotechnology, and Climate Tech were introduced, broadening their understanding of future opportunities.

A key highlight was the self-assessment activity, where students analyzed their interests, skills, and aptitudes to align with suitable career choices. The importance of career planning was reinforced through discussions on short-term and long-term goal setting, adaptability, and strategic decision-making.

The session concluded with an interactive career roadmap activity, allowing students to outline their aspirations, academic focus, and actionable steps toward achieving their dream careers. It was a valuable experience, inspiring students to think critically about their futures and take proactive steps toward success.
