The Scouts & Guides Leaders Training Program was successfully conducted by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association at Flower Spring Beach. Leaders representing Podar Pearl School – Al Meshaf Campus and Pearl School – Al Dafna Campus actively participated in this enriching initiative, which aimed to strengthen leadership skills and deepen their understanding of the Scouting movement in Qatar.

The program began with an inspiring inaugural session led by Mr. Ahmad and Mrs. Mona Almansoori. They emphasized the importance of the Scouts and Guides movement in shaping well-rounded individuals. Moreover, they highlighted how teamwork, leadership, discipline, and ethical values form the foundation of effective guiding. Their address set a motivating tone for the entire Scouts & Guides Leaders Training Program.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in interactive and practical learning sessions. They practiced knot tying and various lashing methods, which are essential outdoor survival skills. In addition, they learned hand and whistle signals that improve coordination and communication during activities and camps. Leaders also participated in energetic group yells and songs, which strengthened team spirit and boosted confidence. As a result, the Scouts & Guides Leaders Training Program created an environment that encouraged collaboration, responsibility, and active participation.

Furthermore, a dedicated session on Robert Baden-Powell provided valuable insight into his vision and philosophy. Leaders gained a deeper understanding of the principles that continue to guide the global Scouting and Guiding Movement. This session not only reinforced core values but also connected participants to the rich heritage of the movement.

Overall, the Scouts & Guides Leaders Training Program proved to be a meaningful and transformative experience. It equipped leaders with practical guiding skills while strengthening their leadership abilities. Most importantly, the program empowered them to implement these values and techniques effectively in school-based Scouts and Guides activities, thereby fostering confident, responsible, and community-oriented students.
