The workshop titled “Pause and Presence: A Mindfulness Workshop for Educators” was conducted at Pearl School, Al Dafna campus. The session was led by Ms. Delrina Mohta, School Counsellor at Podar Pearl School, Al Meshaf, and aimed to introduce educators to mindfulness practices to enhance relaxation, focus, and emotional well-being.
The workshop began with an ice-breaking activity to engage participants and create a comfortable environment. This was followed by a 40-minute Mandala art activity accompanied by soothing music, during which teachers also wrote affirmations on their artwork. The exercise helped participants feel calm and focused, allowing them to experience mindfulness firsthand.
In addition, other mindfulness techniques, including guided relaxation and awareness exercises, were shared to provide practical strategies for stress management and emotional resilience. The session was well-received and proved highly beneficial, equipping teachers with tools to foster self-awareness, maintain focus, and create a positive classroom environment.
