Report: The Earth Day

Pearl School, Al Dafna Campus, observed Earth Day on April 22, 2024, Monday, and conducted different activities for Grades I to IV students to raise awareness about the environment and promote actions to protect the planet. It serves as a reminder of the importance of conserving natural resources, reducing pollution, and preserving biodiversity for future generations. The theme for World Earth Day 2024 is Planet vs. Plastics. The theme aims to bring attention to the serious issue of plastic pollution and how it harms nature.

Grade I and II students drew a picture of Earth on paper plates. Class 3 students made a newspaper bag, and class 4 students made a bird feeder with old bottles. Making a newspaper bag is a creative and eco-friendly way to celebrate Earth Day while also promoting recycling and reducing plastic waste. It’s great to see the students getting involved in sustainability efforts. Creating bird feeders from used bottles is a fantastic activity. It was a fun and educational project for students to learn about sustainability and the importance of caring for our environment.
