The event highlighted the importance of Mahatma Gandhi’s contributions to India’s freedom struggle and promoted the values of peace, non-violence, and unity among students.

The celebration featured special assemblies from Grade 4 WC and Grade 6 WA, where students performed a variety of cultural acts. The assembly included:

  • Grades 3 and 4: Engaged in a crossword puzzle activity, challenge with artistic expression, using illustrations to represent the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, particularly truth (“Satyagraha”) and non-violence (“Ahimsa”). This would be an engaging way to blend cognitive skills with creativity, as participants not only solve clues but also visually interpret and express these profound ideals.
  • Grades 5 to 8: Participated in a Walkathon, encouraged students to embrace physical activity while also reflecting on Gandhi’s historic fight against colonial rule through non-violent means.
