Pearl School, Al Dafna Campus, joyfully celebrated Bagless Day in connection with the much-awaited Food Fest on Thursday, 13th November 2025. This event formed part of the Children’s Day festivities for students from Grades 1 to 8. Additionally, it was thoughtfully planned to create joyful learning experiences while nurturing creativity, collaboration, and cultural appreciation. Through this celebration, students not only enjoyed themselves but also engaged in meaningful activities that enhanced their confidence and teamwork skills. Furthermore, the day emphasized the importance of cultural awareness and holistic development.
Grand Food Fest: A Culinary Celebration
The highlight of the day was the grand Food Fest, organized by all four language departments—Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and French. Students from Grades 4 to 8 actively participated by preparing and presenting a wide variety of traditional and multicultural dishes. Moreover, the fest was inaugurated by the School President, Mr. C. Muhammed Nizar, and graced by Vice President Dr. Steffy Rachel Sam, Director Ms. Mizna Nizar, and Principal Dr. Maneesh Mangal.
During the event, students displayed remarkable teamwork, creativity, and cultural pride. They enthusiastically explained the significance of each dish while interacting with visitors, making the fest both enjoyable and educational. In addition, the Food Fest encouraged students to develop leadership skills and learn the value of collaboration. Overall, it was a celebration that combined fun, learning, and cultural appreciation seamlessly.
Bagless Day Activities: Creativity and Learning Combined
Alongside the Food Fest, students from Grades 1 to 6 participated in engaging Bagless Day activities.
- Grades 1 & 2: Students explored their individuality through the “You Are a Star!” self-portrait star crafts. They also took part in a lively Show and Tell session, which further enhanced their confidence and communication skills.
- Grades 3 & 4: Learners engaged in the cheerful “Be-You-tiful Hive” craft, designing bees to celebrate uniqueness and teamwork. Following this, a DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) session encouraged a love for reading and reflection.
- Grades 5 & 6: Students expressed their dreams and aspirations through the “Paper Butterfly of Dreams” activity. Each colourful butterfly displayed a personal goal, creating a beautiful visual across classrooms and inspiring peers.
Furthermore, a children’s movie screening for all grades added relaxation and entertainment. The film delivered meaningful life lessons, complementing the day’s educational and cultural activities.
A Day of Joy, Learning, and Memories
In conclusion, the combined celebration of the Food Fest and Bagless Day created a lively, heartwarming experience for all students. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and collaborative spirit made the day truly memorable. Additionally, students learned important lessons in teamwork, cultural appreciation, and self-expression. As a result, the event left lasting memories filled with laughter, learning, and togetherness.
