English Language Day was commemorated in both Meshaf and West Bay campuses of Podar Pearl School by the Department of English to entertain and inform students about the history, culture and achievements associated with English Language. A variety of educational activities were conducted for the students of classes III to XII to mark this eventful day. A PowerPoint Presentation based on Shakespeare’s life and works was shown in the primary classes. It was a fitting tribute to the Bard of Avon, who left an indelible impact on English language with his insurmountable contribution to the field of literature, playing the key role in popularizing the language.

An Intraclass Quiz Contest titled ‘Explore Shakespeare’ was also held for all the students of classes IV-XII. The quiz contest channelized the students to familiarize themselves with the works of Shakespeare. They enthusiastically took part in the contest. Under the guidance of the Head of the Department of English, the Teachers-in-Charge completed all the necessary tasks in advance. All faculty members extended their wholehearted support to successfully conduct the event. Winners were honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation. Principal Ms. Manjari Recriwal applauded the tireless efforts of the teachers of the Department of English and the healthy participation of the students.
