The students of Class 4 conducted a meaningful morning assembly on the theme “World Book Day”, compered confidently by Alankrita and Abhay.
The assembly began with a heartfelt prayer, followed by the recital of the school’s Vision and Mission statements, reminding everyone of the core values and aspirations we uphold as a community.
The Thought for the Day and the Word of the Day were presented by the students, adding reflection and vocabulary enrichment to the morning.
The News Segment kept everyone updated with the latest national, international, and school events, helping students stay connected to the world around them.
The central focus of the assembly was a short presentation on the Importance of Reading, where students highlighted how reading enhances imagination, strengthens vocabulary, improves focus, and opens doors to endless learning. They encouraged their peers to cultivate a regular reading habit.
Adding a creative and fun element to the assembly, the class presented a special item – a lively “Reading Song”, which celebrated books as friends and gateways to magical worlds. The performance was met with applause and appreciation from all.
The assembly concluded with words of encouragement from the Headmistress, who reinforced the value of reading and urged students to make books a part of their daily lives.
The class of Class 4WE also conducted an assembly on Earth Day which was held on April 22, 2025, with the theme “Our Power, Our Planet.” The assembly aimed to raise students’ awareness about environmental protection and sustainability.
The program began with the prayer, followed by the school’s Vision and mission, Thought for the day and the word for the day, which was Sustainability. A news highlight by Aleeza and a short speech by Aadhish highlighted the significance of Earth Day and the need to care for our planet. This was followed by a skit performed by the students, portraying the harmful effects of pollution and the importance of eco-friendly habits, and a thought-provoking song on nature.
Students also shared interesting facts about Earth Day and discussed simple ways everyone can contribute to saving the environment, such as reducing plastic use, conserving water, and planting trees. The comperers Sidharth and Fathima Sahil played an important role in showcasing the theme.
The assembly concluded with a pledge by all the students and then followed by the Qatar National Anthem and the Indian National Anthem by all students and staff. The headmistress appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for organizing an informative and inspiring event.
