Introduction and the primary goal of the activity: The Mother’s Day Assembly marked the special occasion celebrated worldwide to honor mothers, and to show love and appreciation for all that mothers do. The Assembly was conducted by all the students of 2 MA featuring thoughtful presentations, musical and dance performances with thoughtful messages.
1. Assembly Gathering: Students lined up in an organized manner by class and teachers oversaw order and discipline.
2. Welcome/Introduction by the comperes: The assembly was skillfully compered by the students of Class 2 MA.
3. Quran Recitation: The students recited the Quran with excellent precision and heartfelt devotion.
4. National Anthem and Pledge: The students’ soulful rendition of the National Anthem set a patriotic tone for the day. Students and teachers sang the Qatar National Anthem followed by the Indian National Anthem with pride and unity. A sense of pride filled the atmosphere as students earnestly recited the Indian Pledge.
5. School Prayer: The students recited the school prayer with great clarity and deep reverence.
6. School’s Vision and Mission: The assembly included the reading of the school’s vision and mission statements, emphasizing the commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and ethical values.
7. Thought for the Day: A short, meaningful quote is shared and explained.
Thought: “A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend.”
8. Special Segment:
Dance/Song/Video clip and the Outcomes: The major highlight of the Assembly was the soulful song performance by all the students dedicated to their lovely mothers including a creative dance performance with the snaps of all the students with their amazing mothers being displayed in the background monitor. Both the performances aroused a room for love and emotion in the hearts of all present in the auditorium.
9. Headmistress’ message: The Assembly concluded with the inspiring speech by the Headmistress who shared the words of love and respect for the mothers with encouraging and appreciative words for the whole class on their wonderful performance.
10. Vote of Thanks: The Assembly concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Headmistress for her presence and encouraging words. Appreciation was also extended to all the teachers and students of Grade 2 for their valuable presence in attending the Class Assembly.
11. Student Engagement: High engagement was noted throughout the assembly, with students actively participating and responding to the song and dance performances.
12. Community Building (Qatar values and Identity) : The assembly fostered a sense of unity and focus, reflecting the values and identity of the Qatari community.
