Four talented students from Podar Pearl School proudly represented the school at the CBSE National Badminton Tournament 2026 at Radha Govind Public School in Meerut, India. The championship gave our young athletes a valuable opportunity to experience national-level competition and develop their sporting skills.
The four students who represented Podar Pearl School were Dhyan Shiju Dev of Grade 6 MD, Devansh Shetty of Grade 8 MC, Tejomay Shetty of Grade 5 MH, and Pranav Nidhin of Grade 4 MG. Throughout the championship, they demonstrated dedication, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Competing at the national level also helped the students challenge themselves and gain valuable experience. Moreover, they had the opportunity to learn from other players and understand the demands of competitive badminton. Such experiences encourage young athletes to improve their techniques, build confidence and approach future competitions with determination.
Beyond competition, badminton helps students maintain physical fitness and develop essential life skills. For example, the sport teaches focus, patience, discipline and determination. It also encourages students to set goals, handle pressure and follow rules. As a result, they learn to approach both success and challenges with a positive attitude.
Mr. Afsal guided and accompanied the students throughout the championship. His support and encouragement helped them make the most of this valuable sporting experience.
Podar Pearl School takes pride in its students for representing the school at this prestigious national-level event. Their experience reflects the school’s commitment to sports, physical fitness and the holistic development of every learner. Furthermore, opportunities like these help students build resilience, confidence and a lifelong appreciation for an active lifestyle.
Podar Pearl School congratulates Dhyan Shiju Dev, Devansh Shetty, Tejomay Shetty and Pranav Nidhin, along with their coach, Mr. Afsal, on this achievement. We wish them continued success in their future sporting endeavours.
