Pearl School – Al Dafna Campus attended the Scout and Guide Leaders Orientation organised by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association. The session focused on strengthening Scouting and Guiding programmes in schools. Mr. Lokesh, Scouts Leader, and Ms. Arathy, Guides Leader, represented the school at this informative event.

The orientation provided practical guidance on planning, organising and conducting meaningful Scout and Guide activities. Moreover, it highlighted the importance of responsible leadership and student well-being. One of the key topics was “Safe from Harm,” which emphasised safeguarding and the need to create a safe, supportive environment for every student.

The session also explored the responsibilities of Scout and Guide leaders. Participants learned about activity planning, inspection requirements and proper documentation. In addition, the organisers explained how leaders should maintain records, organise files, and prepare the necessary evidence for inspections. These practices help schools manage their Scout and Guide units effectively while maintaining high standards.

Furthermore, the guidance shared during the orientation will help the Al Dafna Campus strengthen its Scouting and Guiding activities. By applying these practices, the school can promote student safety, encourage responsible participation and provide meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.

The orientation offered valuable insights into effective programme management and safeguarding. Podar Pearl School appreciates the efforts of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association in supporting school leaders. The school remains committed to providing safe, purposeful and enriching opportunities that help students develop leadership, responsibility and teamwork through Scouting and Guiding.
