Podar Pearl School proudly participated in GMUN Fall 2025, a prestigious Model United Nations event, bringing together student leaders from across Qatar and India. This year’s theme, “Echo Chambers and Global Agenda: Diplomacy in a Polarised World,” encouraged participants to engage in meaningful dialogue, practise diplomacy, and collaborate effectively. The event also aimed to educate students about the structure, functioning, and decision-making processes of the United Nations, enhancing their understanding of global governance and international cooperation. Furthermore, the conference highlighted the importance of informed debates, diverse viewpoints, and collective problem-solving in shaping a more just, peaceful, and equitable world.
Aligning with School Vision and Round Square Ideals
GMUN Fall 2025 aligned perfectly with Podar Pearl School’s mission to develop resilient, future-ready learners who express their views confidently and tackle global challenges with empathy. In addition, guided by the Round Square philosophy of “Adopt, Adapt, Improve,” the event inspired young minds to challenge themselves, exchange ideas, and learn from peers. It empowered each participant to create a meaningful impact within their homes, schools, and communities, fostering the spirit of global citizenship.
The conference featured 980 delegates, 14 committees, and 60–65 representatives per committee. Students from British, Qatari, American, and Indian school came together, engaging in high-level debate and diplomacy.
Event Highlights
The opening ceremony, presided over by the GMUN executive team, set a motivational tone. Mr. Jibin Koshy, Program Manager, emphasized the transformative power of MUN in nurturing diplomacy, global awareness, and critical thinking. Throughout the day, delegates participated in moderated and unmoderated causes, demonstrating insight, collaboration, and leadership.
Podar Pearl School students displayed exemplary skills in research, diplomacy, and public speaking. Notably, Nashwa Ibrahim (11th MB) earned the ‘Honorable Mention’ as Sweden’s representative in UNESCO. All participants received certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions across committees.
By participating in GMUN Fall 2025, students enhanced their:
