Pearl School, Al Dafna Campus organized a variety of engaging activities for students of Grades 1 to 4 in connection with World Environment Day on Monday, 2nd June 2025, based on the global theme, “Ending Plastic Pollution.” The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the harmful impact of plastic waste and to promote eco-friendly habits within the school community. Activities were conducted during the activity period and were thoughtfully tailored to each grade level to ensure meaningful participation.

Students of Grades 1 and 2 expressed their understanding of waste management by drawing pictures of trash cans and writing the slogan “THROW TRASH IN THE BIN.” This simple yet meaningful activity helped them grasp the importance of keeping the environment clean and disposing of waste responsibly. The children were excited to showcase their artwork, and the activity encouraged them to be more mindful of their surroundings both in school and at home. Teachers facilitated discussions around good habits, such as using dustbins, avoiding littering, and encouraging others to keep shared spaces tidy.

Meanwhile, students of Grades 3 and 4 showcased their creativity by designing “No Plastic” signs with impactful messages such as “NO PLASTIC” and “REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.” These visually engaging posters demonstrated their awareness of plastic pollution and emphasized the need to reduce the use of single-use plastics in everyday life. The activity also sparked conversations about alternatives to plastic and inspired students to think of innovative ways to protect the environment.

The event served as a valuable platform for students to showcase their creativity and commitment to a greener planet. It fostered environmental responsibility and promoted practical learning about sustainability in an enjoyable and meaningful way. Events like these reflect Pearl School’s dedication to nurturing environmentally conscious citizens and instilling values that go beyond the classroom.
