On May 20, 2025, the students of Grade 3 WD organized a special assembly in celebration of World Telecommunication Day. The purpose of the assembly was to educate young students and raise awareness about the importance of communication technologies in our everyday lives in a way that is age-appropriate, engaging, and inspiring. The assembly was both meaningful and informative, reminding everyone how the world of telecommunication has evolved over the years.
The session was anchored by Venkatesha and Ayesha, and began with a prayer by Christina. This was followed by the presentation of the school’s vision, mission, and core values by Hrikko, Harshaa, and Irene. Rohit shared the Thought for the Day, emphasizing the significance of telecommunication, while Aleena introduced the Word of the Day. Ameena kept everyone informed with the news updates.
An informative speech about World Telecommunication Day was delivered by Zaharan. To further enrich the celebration, Jaylynn and her team performed a display that reflected the day’s theme.
Our respected Headmistress then addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of limiting the uses of gadgets that helps us in telecommunication. She then spoke about the evolution of telecommunication over the years and has interacted with the students.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, leaving students with a strong message about the importance of discipline in both academic and personal life. The purpose of this assembly was to give the students an understanding of what telecommunication is , how it works and how it has evolved over the years.
