As part of the English Day celebrations, Pearl School, Al Dafna, conducted a dynamic and engaging class assembly by Class VII WB that highlighted students’ creativity, confidence, and teamwork.The program began with elegant compering by Saarah and Ayisha, a heartfelt prayer by Haaziq, and the presentation of the school’s Vision and Values by Anika and Atidhi. Sadia shared an inspiring Thought for the Day, followed by a well-delivered speech by Hayyan Tasleem.
One of the highlights of the assembly was the lively and imaginative “Characters Ramp Walk,” where students confidently portrayed iconic literary and historical characters, bringing the stage to life with energy and flair. The excitement continued with a Quiz segment hosted by Juana and Pragathi, which engaged the audience in a quick round of thought-provoking questions that tested their general and literary knowledge.The highlight of the event was a captivating student performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, showcasing expressive talent and dramatic flair.
Headmistress Ms. Zemina applauded the students for their energetic participation and commended the spirit of the event. Special appreciation goes to the class teacher, Ms. Salma, for her dedicated efforts in guiding and mentoring the students, ensuring the success of the assembly.The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Hadiya and the National Anthem led by Mr. Javed. The assembly was a true celebration of the English language and the spirit of holistic education.
Adding to the English Day spirit, a special quiz competition on Shakespeare was conducted for students from Classes 5 to 8. The event enhanced students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s works and fostered a deeper appreciation for classic literature. The quiz featured a wide range of questions covering Shakespeare’s plays, characters, and famous quotes, challenging students’ knowledge and critical thinking skills. It successfully ignited a love for literature and celebrated the timeless legacy of Shakespeare among the students.
