On 16th April 2025, Pearl School Al Thumama conducted a special Life Skill Assembly aimed at promoting kindness and addressing the topic of anti-bullying. The assembly focused on helping students understands how small acts of kindness can make a big difference, as well as the importance of standing up against bullying. The main objectives of the assembly are ‘Learn how bullying affects individuals and the school community, Encourage kindness, empathy, and standing up for others, and Empower students to speak up and support each other’’.
The assembly began with a warm welcome by the School Counselor, who introduced the theme of the assembly: “Anti-Bullying and Kindness Matters.” The students were reminded that kindness is not just about big gestures but can be seen in small everyday actions. The assembly featured a short skit presented by Sargun, Hema, Taffim Khan, Dhanwanth from 3F, and Aayesha from 3C. The skit brought to life a situation many students could relate to, showing how small actions — like standing up for a friend or offering a kind word — can make a big impact. After the skit, Lakshiv from 3A led the students in the Kindness Pledge. Together, the students promised to practice kindness in their words, actions, and relationships. Following the assembly, a prize distribution ceremony was held. Students who excelled in the NOF Olympiad and in an interschool competition organized by Pak Shamaa School were honored and awarded certificates and medals.
The Life Skills Assembly was a great success, effectively promoting kindness and addressing bullying in a way that was engaging and educational for students in Grades 1–4. By introducing the concept of life skills, offering relatable examples through the skit, and encouraging personal commitment through the Kindness Pledge, the assembly helped reinforce the message that small acts of kindness can make a huge difference in creating a positive school culture.
