The Pearl School students actively engaged in the Round Square Zoom Postcard session on Wednesday, 19 March, centered around the theme, “More than just a game: the power of sports and hobbies in schools.” The 90-minute session engaged 50 students from nine schools across seven countries, including France, India, Kenya, Namibia, Peru, South Africa, and Qatar. The focus was on exploring how sports and hobbies contribute not only to physical fitness but also to personal development, teamwork, and social connections within the school environment.
Six students from Pearl School participated in the session, representing their school on an international stage. This provided an opportunity for them to connect with peers from around the world, share experiences, and learn from diverse perspectives. The session began with introductions and icebreakers where students shared their favorite sports or hobbies. Key discussions followed on how sports and hobbies promote emotional well-being, skill development, and cultural exchange among students. The interactive segment allowed participants to share personal stories about how involvement in sports has influenced their lives both inside and outside of school.
The Pearl School students actively engaged in the discussions, contributing their views on the importance of sports and hobbies in enhancing school experiences and fostering personal growth. They displayed respect and professionalism throughout the session, adhering to the Code of Conduct.
