Celebrating “The Power of Peace” at Pearl School, Al Dafna Campus
The Soft Board Competition is a creative platform where students express ideas that mirror their learning, imagination, and values. To commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Pearl School – Al Dafna Campus organized an Inter-Class Soft Board Competition in October 2025.
This year’s theme, “Gandhi Jayanti – The Power of Peace,” inspired students from Classes I to VIII to present displays that celebrated Gandhiji’s principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity. Through their work, students honored the Father of the Nation and his timeless message of harmony and humanity.
🎨 Creative Expressions Inspired by Gandhi’s Teachings
Each class presented an inspiring and artistic soft board display that reflected Gandhiji’s contributions to India’s freedom struggle and his enduring influence on global peace movements. Students filled the boards with drawings, paintings, craftwork, and thoughtful write-ups, making every piece a heartfelt tribute.
Moreover, the boards showcased Gandhiji’s famous quotes — words that continue to guide generations toward kindness, service, and unity. Through teamwork and creative collaboration, learners transformed simple materials into powerful visual stories, radiating the true spirit of Gandhi Jayanti.
🏆 Judging Criteria and Student Reflections
Entries were evaluated on creativity, presentation, thematic relevance, and originality. Teachers and judges appreciated how students interpreted Gandhiji’s values with imagination and depth.
In addition, the competition encouraged participants to reflect on Gandhi’s ideals and explore how these values can be practiced in daily life — from honesty and empathy to environmental care and community service. The event turned into a meaningful learning experience that combined art, ethics, and awareness.
🌟 Spreading the Message of Peace and Simplicity
The Gandhi Jayanti celebration at Pearl School – Al Dafna Campus went beyond decoration. It became a reminder that peace begins with personal responsibility and compassion. The Soft Board Competition not only enhanced students’ creativity but also strengthened their understanding of India’s cultural heritage and moral values.
By engaging in this thoughtful activity, young learners embraced Gandhiji’s timeless message — “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
