Activity – Handwriting Competition

Introduction: The Handwriting Competition for Grade 1 and 2 was held on 9th January 2025 with the aim of promoting neatness, clarity, and creativity in handwriting among young learners. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their fine motor skills and creativity.

Objective
The competition aimed to:

  1. Encourage students to improve their calligraphy skills.
  2. Foster a sense of healthy competition.
  3. Emphasize the importance of legible handwriting in effective communication.

Participants and Categories: The event witnessed the participation of more than 300 students from Grades 1 and 2. The competition was divided into two categories:

  • Grade 1: Students were asked to write a short paragraph.
  • Grade 2: Students were given a text and evaluated for their calligraphy skills.

Judging Criteria: The handwriting was evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Neatness
  2. Spacing
  3. Completion time

Conclusion: The Handwriting Competition was a great success, inspiring students to take pride in their handwriting and work on their fine motor skills and confidence.
