Pearl School’s Al Dafna campus celebrated Eid Al-Adha with great enthusiasm and cultural pride on Tuesday, 3rd June. The event began with a heartfelt prayer, followed by a vibrant Arabic dance performance by the students that set a festive tone for the day.

Adding to the cultural ambiance, students dressed in traditional Arabic attire, showcasing the rich heritage of the celebration and bringing colour and charm to the occasion. The campus was adorned with traditional Arabic decorations, including lanterns and cultural artifacts, creating a festive and immersive environment. A special display of Arabic items was also conducted, allowing students to explore and appreciate the region’s artistic and cultural legacy.

The school president, Mr. C. Muhamed Nizar, graced the occasion with his presence and appreciated the efforts of the students and staff in organizing such a meaningful celebration. A key highlight of the event was the display of traditional Arabic cuisine. Students brought a delightful variety of authentic dishes, which were shared and enjoyed by all, adding a rich culinary flavour to the festivities.

To further enhance the cultural experience, a Mehendi corner was arranged where students enthusiastically participated in henna designing. Additionally, a Mehendi design competition was held, showcasing the artistic talents of the participants. Students from grades 5 to 8 enthusiastically took part in the competition, demonstrating their creativity and precision. The event provided a wonderful platform for the young artists to experiment with intricate patterns and traditional motifs. Judges evaluated the designs based on creativity, neatness, originality, and adherence to cultural themes. Many participants received appreciation for their innovative use of floral and geometric designs. The competition not only highlighted the students’ artistic skills but also fostered a sense of cultural appreciation and community spirit.

The celebration brought together the school community in a joyful expression of tradition, culture, and unity, making it a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved.
