Dear Students, Parents, Teachers and Members of the Podar Pearl School Community,

It is with great humility, excitement and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you to a new chapter in the journey of Podar Pearl School.

As I take on the responsibility of leading this wonderful institution, my promise is simple: we will preserve what is precious, strengthen what is working, and courageously explore what can make learning even better.

A great school is more than its building, curriculum or timetable. It is a community that believes in the potential of every child. That belief is at the heart of Podar Pearl School.

The world our children are preparing for is changing rapidly. Artificial intelligence, automation, climate change, digital citizenship and global interconnectedness are reshaping the future. Yet, the more technology advances, the more human our education must become. Our children will need digital fluency and adaptability, but equally they will need empathy, integrity, courage, curiosity, communication and collaboration.

The future will not belong simply to those who know the most, but to those who can learn, unlearn, relearn, collaborate and care. We will continue to pursue academic excellence while asking a deeper question: What can our students do with what they know? Science should lead to investigation, mathematics to real-world application, books to new perspectives, discussions to listening, mistakes to reflection, and projects to meaningful creation.

I believe learning becomes powerful when curiosity meets experience. Our classrooms should therefore become places where students learn not only to find answers, but to ask better questions. We will explore opportunities such as AI-supported learning, design thinking, interdisciplinary projects, experiential learning, competency-based assessment, student-led inquiry, entrepreneurship, sustainability and global collaboration. Technology will support learning but never replace the teacher-student relationship.

Equally, well-being is the foundation of education. A child who feels safe can explore; one who feels heard can express; one who feels valued can take risks. Student well-being, inclusion, safeguarding, physical fitness, emotional resilience and belonging will remain central to our school culture.

To Our Students

This is your school. Be curious, ask questions, read, create, play, lead and serve. Make mistakes
without fear and learn from them. Do not measure your worth only by grades. A report card reflects performance at a moment; it cannot measure your full potential. My responsibility is to help you discover your strengths and turn them into purpose.

To Our Teachers

You are the heartbeat of this institution. No technology can replace an inspiring teacher who
recognises a child’s struggle, discovers a hidden talent or inspires confidence. I am committed to building a culture where teachers are trusted, encouraged to innovate and supported as lifelong learners. A school cannot become future-ready unless its teachers are future-ready too.

To Our Parents

Education flourishes when school and home move together. I look forward to building a
relationship based on openness, trust, empathy and shared responsibility. Your insights, questions and partnership matter. My door will remain open because every genuine concern deserves to be heard.

To the Entire Podar Pearl Community

I step into this role with respect for the journey that has brought Podar Pearl School to where it stands today and optimism for where we can go next.

My leadership philosophy can be summed up in three words: Listen. Learn. Lead.

I will listen to understand, learn from people and experience, and together we will lead with courage, compassion and purpose.

I believe we can create a future where our children are not merely prepared for the world—they
are prepared to improve it.

Let us build a Pearl where academic excellence and character grow together; where technology and humanity complement one another; where innovation is encouraged and values remain our compass; where every child is known, every teacher is valued, every parent is heard, and every achievement is celebrated. Let us give our children not only roots to remain grounded, but wings to explore the world.

The next chapter of Podar Pearl School is waiting to be written—and I am delighted that we will write it together.

With warm regards,
Rakesh Singh Tomar
