Pearl School, Al Thumama, celebrated Eid Al Adha with a wide variety of activities on Thursday, June 13 2024. Eid Al Adha is the festival of sacrifice and symbolizes the unity and togetherness of international community.
The celebration started with card- making, teachers apply mehendi for their students and they shared sweets and snacks with beloved teachers and friends. The spirit of Eid was well imbibed to students through a presentation, showing the meaning of Eid Al Adha and story of sacrifice of Ibrahim, a devotee of Allah and his son Ismail was explicitly portrayed to all students. Amaira Javed from Grade 2 made a visual presentation of Performing Hajj, and gave a speech on importance and value of Hajj and related it to Eid Al Adha. The blooming buds in their traditional costumes conveyed the message of patience, modesty, self-restrain and spirituality.
The activities not only enhance the joyous atmosphere but also reflect the values of togetherness, value of sharing and benevolence.
The event made more dazzling by the scintillating dance performance of Grade 2 and 3 students in their traditional attire.
It was indeed a pleasant and delightful day for the little Pearls and enjoyed their day with full exhilaration, joy and delight.
