Students of Grade 5 (5MA to 5MF) at Podar Pearl School participated in the Qom’a Project Workshop at Mathaf – Arab Museum of Modern Art. The workshop formed part of a Guinness World Records initiative and offered students an exciting opportunity to explore creativity through hands-on learning.
During the workshop, students learned about the Qom’a Project and completed their contributions through a practical activity. With guidance from museum instructors, they developed their creativity, concentration and teamwork skills. Moreover, they experienced the joy of working together towards a shared goal.
The workshop also encouraged students to appreciate Qatar’s national identity and cultural values through creative community participation. At the same time, it introduced them to the importance of sustainability and responsible contributions to a lasting collective project. Through this experience, students discovered how individual efforts can make a meaningful difference when people work together.
Furthermore, the activity supported the Round Square IDEALS of International Understanding and Inquisitiveness. It also aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and the aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030. By connecting creativity with cultural awareness and community engagement, the workshop helped students develop practical skills and broaden their perspectives.
Most importantly, the experience brought learning beyond the classroom and encouraged students to explore new ideas through active participation. It also highlighted the value of collaboration, cultural appreciation and shared responsibility in shaping a more sustainable future.
The Qom’a Project Workshop at Mathaf reflected Podar Pearl School’s commitment to meaningful, experiential learning. Through opportunities like these, the school continues to inspire students to become creative thinkers, responsible global citizens and active contributors to their communities.
