Podar Pearl School organised a session on Managing Examination Stress for students of Grades 10 and 12 as part of the Parent Partnership Programme. Ms. Lubna Mehmood, Senior Clinical Psychology Specialist and Parent Resource Person, led the session to help students manage academic pressure and prepare for examinations with confidence.
During the session, students explored the common causes and warning signs of examination stress. They also learned practical strategies to improve concentration, manage their time effectively and set realistic study goals. Moreover, Ms. Lubna introduced useful memory techniques, including active recall, spaced repetition, mnemonics and mind mapping, to support effective learning and better retention.
The session also highlighted the importance of healthy study habits. Students were encouraged to maintain regular sleep schedules, eat balanced meals, stay hydrated and take short breaks. Additionally, they learned simple calming techniques to manage anxiety and regain focus during examinations.
Ms. Lubna emphasised that students should seek support from parents, teachers and school counsellors whenever necessary. She reminded them that successful examination preparation involves not only consistent studying but also emotional well-being and a balanced routine.
Through the Parent Partnership Programme, Podar Pearl School continues to strengthen parent–school collaboration and support students’ academic progress and emotional well-being. The session equipped students with practical tools to approach examinations with greater confidence, resilience and a positive mindset.
