Podar Pearl School, Al Meshaf Campus, organised a magical storytelling session titled “Once Upon a Story” for its Kindergarten (KG) children. Led by Logapriya Sudarsanan, an English Language Educator and parent, the session combined storytelling, interaction and meaningful learning to spark young learners’ imagination and curiosity.

The session aimed to nurture a love for stories and develop active listening skills among children. Additionally, it raised awareness about healthy screen-time habits and encouraged children to explore meaningful activities beyond digital devices.

An interactive PowerPoint presentation introduced the children to an engaging storytelling experience. As the story unfolded, the young learners listened attentively, imagined the scenes and eagerly responded to the storyteller’s questions. Their enthusiasm and curiosity made the session lively and enjoyable.

Moreover, the interactive narration encouraged children to think, express their ideas and engage with the story. They answered questions with excitement and showed keen interest throughout the session.

Beyond the joy of storytelling, the session highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between screen time and other everyday activities. Children learned why they should limit excessive mobile phone use and spend more time playing outdoors. They also received encouragement to explore active, creative and meaningful activities that support their overall development.

The session received positive feedback from both children and teachers. The young learners thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling experience and demonstrated enthusiasm, curiosity and active listening throughout the programme.

The “Once Upon a Story” storytelling session offered Kindergarten children a memorable learning experience by blending imagination, interaction and healthy lifestyle awareness. Through this initiative, Podar Pearl School continues to encourage meaningful learning experiences that support children’s language development, creativity and well-being.

The school extends its appreciation to Logapriya Sudarsanan for leading this engaging session.
