Podar Pearl School organised an Awareness Session on Brotherhood on 24 September 2026 for students of Grades 6, 7, 9 and 10. The session took place in association with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf through the Islamic Culture Department of the Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center.
The session focused on the universal values of brotherhood, kindness, acceptance, cooperation, unity and mutual respect. It encouraged students to understand the importance of respecting people from different religions, nationalities and cultural backgrounds and to contribute towards a peaceful and compassionate society.
Mr. Abdul Rasheed Kousari, Resource Person and Programme Coordinator from India, conducted the session. He explained the true meaning of brotherhood and encouraged students to practise love, kindness, cooperation, acceptance and mutual respect in their daily lives. He also highlighted that brotherhood goes beyond religion, nationality, language and culture. Instead, it connects people as members of one human family.
During the session, students explored ways to respect differences and build positive relationships with others. They learned why kindness, cooperation and forgiveness matter in everyday life. Moreover, the session encouraged them to help others during difficult times, avoid discrimination and promote peace and unity in their surroundings.
Through meaningful discussions and examples, students understood the importance of brotherhood and its role in creating a harmonious community. They also recognised that differences should not divide people. Instead, accepting and appreciating diversity can help create stronger relationships and a more inclusive society.
The session encouraged students to:
- Understand the meaning and importance of brotherhood.
- Respect people of different religions, nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
- Practise kindness, cooperation and forgiveness.
- Accept and appreciate differences.
- Promote peace, unity and mutual respect.
- Understand their responsibility towards building a compassionate society.
- Demonstrate true brotherhood through positive actions.
The Awareness Session on Brotherhood proved meaningful, informative and inspiring for the students. It reminded them that although people may have different religions, nationalities, languages and cultures, everyone shares a common place within one human family.
The session successfully encouraged students to put the values of kindness, respect, acceptance, peace and unity into practice at school, at home and within the wider community. Through these everyday actions, students can help create a more respectful, inclusive and harmonious society.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Abdul Rasheed Kousari, while Mr. Yasar Arafath captured the session through photography.
