Pearl School, Al Dafna Campus, celebrated Eid Al Adha with great enthusiasm and cultural pride. The celebration brought together students and staff to experience the values and traditions associated with this special occasion.
The programme began with a heartfelt prayer, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Fathima Sara, In-charge of the Islamic Studies Department. She highlighted the significance of Eid Al Adha and its values of faith, sacrifice, gratitude, and compassion. The students then presented a melodious group song, followed by a vibrant Arabic dance performance that filled the celebration with energy and joy.
Adding to the festive spirit, students dressed in traditional Arabic attire and showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region. The campus also featured beautiful Arabic decorations, lanterns, cultural artefacts, and a special display of traditional items. These displays gave students an opportunity to explore and appreciate the region’s artistic and cultural heritage.
The School President, Mr. C. Muhamed Nizar, graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the students and staff. Ms. Mizna Nizar, Member of the Board of Directors, also visited the celebration and praised the students for their enthusiastic participation and creativity.
Food also played an important part in the festivities. Students brought a variety of traditional Arabic dishes and shared them with the school community. As a result, the celebration offered a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich culinary traditions associated with Eid Al Adha.
Another highlight was the Mehendi Corner, where students enjoyed creating beautiful henna designs. In addition, the school organized an Inter-House Mehendi Designing Competition for students from Grades 3 to 8. Representing their respective houses, students showcased their creativity through intricate floral, geometric, and traditional patterns.
The competition encouraged students to express themselves while appreciating the artistic traditions connected with Eid Al Adha. The judges assessed the designs based on creativity, originality, neatness, and cultural relevance. The students’ enthusiasm and talent added even more colour to the celebration.
Overall, the Eid Al Adha Celebration at Pearl School, Al Dafna Campus, provided a joyful platform to celebrate faith, culture, creativity, and unity. Through music, dance, traditional attire, food, art, and meaningful activities, the celebration helped students appreciate the cultural values of Eid Al Adha and created memorable experiences for the entire school community.
