The Welcome Back to School Activity for Grades 3 to 5 at Meshaf Campus created a positive and inclusive start to the academic year. It also reflected Qatar’s core values of respect, unity, and kindness, along with the Round Square ideals of friendship, empathy, and cooperation. From the very beginning, students felt excited, connected, and ready to learn.
To begin with, the Circle of Friendship allowed students to introduce themselves and share a positive quality they plan to practise this year. As a result, this activity built confidence, encouraged respect, and strengthened a strong sense of belonging among peers. Moreover, it helped students connect with each other in a meaningful way.
In addition, the Emoji Expression Activity encouraged students to express their feelings openly. This not only improved emotional awareness but also created a caring and supportive classroom environment. At the same time, students felt heard, valued, and comfortable sharing their thoughts.
Furthermore, students enjoyed a lively welcome song filled with fun movements and energy. This activity brought joy into the classroom and promoted teamwork and active participation. Meanwhile, the photograph station captured these joyful moments, allowing students to celebrate the beginning of their new learning journey.
Overall, this Welcome Back to School Activity supported the school’s vision and mission of nurturing responsible, confident, and compassionate learners. It also ensured a safe, joyful, and values-driven environment where every student feels welcomed and inspired.
