On the occasion of International Nurses Day, the students of Class 4 came together to present a special morning assembly, paying tribute to nurses worldwide for their selfless service and dedication. This year’s theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future.”, served as a powerful reminder of the vital role nurses play in shaping the future of global healthcare.

The assembly commenced promptly at 7:10 a.m., with our enthusiastic comperes, Azman and Mahra, extending a warm welcome to everyone and introducing the theme of the day with poise and confidence.

The morning began on a spiritual note with a soulful prayer led by Dhakshara and Haroon. This was followed by a reaffirmation of our school’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values, presented by Athul, Avanika, and Harita, reminding the audience of the principles that guide our learning community.

Afrah and Ayaan then shared the Thought for the Day and Word of the Day, setting a positive and thoughtful tone for the rest of the day. Ankith kept everyone informed with a concise update through the morning news headlines, bringing global events into focus.

One of the highlights of the assembly was an enlightening speech by Nihal on the remarkable life of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Adding further depth to the celebration, our very own school nurse, Ms. Devika, delivered a touching and informative talk about the daily responsibilities of nurses. Her message underlined the significance of empathy, hygiene, and care in everyday life.

The most captivating moment came with a vibrant dance performance by the talented students of Class 4 WA. Set to the uplifting theme song “This Little Guiding Light of Mine,” the performance was beautifully choreographed and radiated energy and joy.

To conclude the assembly, our Headmistress addressed the gathering with heartfelt appreciation for the students’ efforts, applauding their dedication and the excellence of their performances. The assembly concluded with the rendition of the Qatar National Anthem followed by the Indian National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among all.

This special assembly was a beautiful tribute that not only celebrated nurses but also instilled in students the values of service, compassion, and community spirit.
