Pearl School Al Thumama organised a Market Day fundraiser to support charity. The purpose of the event was to teach young children about selling, communication, and collaboration in a lighthearted setting. As eager merchants and consumers, the school grounds were turned into a bustling marketplace where young shopkeepers eagerly operated their stalls and engaged with parents, teachers and other students. Not only was it an enjoyable educational experience, but all of the money raised from Market Day was donated to a worthy cause of Qatar Charity. Students were taught the value of contributing to society and the joy of giving through this program.
The event was inaugurated by Dr Puja Singh, followed by a welcome speech by the school in-charge, Ms. Indira Menon, who warmly welcomed everyone and appreciated the efforts of the young participants. Emphasizing the importance of interactive learning, she highlighted how such activities help build confidence and social skills in children from a young age. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the children took their positions at their stalls, ready to showcase their little business.
This event was a powerful reminder that education is not limited to textbooks—it is about shaping responsible, compassionate individuals who understand the true worth of kindness and generosity.
